    Forex Treasure Review

To The Best Of Our Knowledge This Service Is No Longer Available

    Key Info

    Publisher:  None specified
Cost:  From $85 a month depending on FX pairs and subscription period
    Review Date:  March 2009

What It Says On The Website

The little sister (or is it Big brother) of Forex Sailor (see our review) we assume, as both sites have offers to include each others signals as a joint option.

“Over +1,500 pips per month” is the headline here, also mentioning, “24/7 support”, “Set & Forget”, “Superior results month by month”, “Honest results you can rely on” and “One Daily email – Only 15 minutes per day”.

Past Performance shows an average gain of around 1,500 pips per month with the worst month being -977 and the best one being +6713. The performance page also mentions “High percentage of winners”, “High reward to risk ratio” and “reasonable drawdowns”.

The system trades the following majors, EUR/USD, GBP/USD, AUD/USD, USD/JPY and USD/CHF with trades lasting anything from one day to several days. Again, as with Forex Sailor, signal generation is “100% mechanical. We use the same criteria and parameters to generate signals everyday; there are no subjective criteria involved in the process”.

The signals are sent at 17:00 ET (22:00 GMT) “for each one of the pairs with a complete and PRECISE set of instructions about entry levels, direction, stop loss, profit targets”. “More often than not, our entry price levels are far away from the actual trading price” as “this is not scalping for 5 or 10 pips”. “We look for 90 to more than 150 pips gain per trade in a 2 to 7 day period”. Once used to the service, after a few days “it really will take you only 15 minutes each day to execute your trades”. “There is no need to monitor the intraday market”. “After a trade is initiated the system evaluates the position at the end of each day and issues a hold, stop or sell”.

The mission statement for this service reads “to simplify traders activity, bringing them an easy to follow swing trading strategy with consistent and stable results”.

    The Service

When we signed up for the Forex Sailor service we chose the 1 month combination offer for $137 which also included this Forex Treasure service.

This service is much more relaxed than its counterpart, Forex Sailor.

One signal covering all pairs is sent as promised at 17:00 ET (22:00 GMT) and orders are placed straight away.

The signal includes new orders to be entered as well as amendments to existing orders. It took us about 5 minutes to enter/amend all positions across the 5 pairs traded. One is only ever long or short each pair at any one time and each signal is split into two lots with differing Target levels, the same Stop level is applied to both lots. The Stop level for the 2nd lot is moved to break-even (Entry point) after the 1st lot hits Target. Targets generally give at least a 1:1.5 Risk/Reward for each trade.

Worthy of a note here is the Stop levels, sometimes they were up to 400 points, so for two positions (lots) per pair, 800 points exposure here.

Trades are left open until Stop or Target(s) are hit.

    Can It Work

Firstly, this service is much easier to operate than its counterpart, Forex Sailor, maximum of two orders per pair to be entered/amended. In addition, orders are actually entered/amended when the signal is received, so 22:00 GMT is not much of an issue.

During our testing period, out of 11 trades, 2 hit Target 1 and none hit Target 2. So we got no where near the advertised +1,500, quite the opposite actually.

Some trades can be open for quite some time, we had a couple run longer than a week, so we incurred quite a lot of roll-over costs.

The service is very easy to operate but during our limited exposure we were quite disappointed with the results, to say the least.

We never actually used support but we can assume it’s similar to Forex Sailor who typically answered within 24 hours.

    • A more relaxed than usual swing trading type of service.
    • Entry and Order management process is 100% mechanical and very simple, less than 5 minutes per day.

    • Very disappointed with results, out of 11 trades, 2 hit Target 1 and none hit Target 2.
    • Stop levels may be too high for some.
    • Drawdowns, although part of life, could be hurtful here, as per our experience.
    • Roll-over costs although not significant, were noticeable.
